''My mother has been in Baycroft for 6 weeks and is receiving wonderful and professional 24/7 care from the friendly and caring staff.

Baycroft is a lovely care home, with very comfortable rooms and excellent facilities.

The catering is super and there are activities on each day for the residents.

Relatives and friends are always made welcome as well.

We knew it was the right place for my mother as soon as we walked through the door with a lovely atmosphere!

Baycroft certainly deserves its Care Quality Commission 5 star rating! Would certainly recommend.''

''I have found Baycroft staff to be extremely efficient and kind towards my uncle from the time he moved there in December 2022.

I cannot fault the care and attention that they have provided since he arrived. I found this particularly reassuring when I first brought my uncle to the home because I was worried he wouldn't settle.

Though he had begun to forget where he was in his own home and kept wanting to leave there, he was the same when he arrived at Baycroft.

It wasn't because he wanted to go home, he just wanted to leave wherever he was. It was a daily challenge for the staff at Baycroft to stop my uncle from leaving, despite the fact that he didn't know where he wanted to go. They handled this beautifully and with so much care and respect.

Fast forward to today, my uncle has settled into the Baycroft environment so nicely and is no longer a lonely man living on his own. I think he really likes knowing people are always around.''

''Mum came to Baycroft for respite in September 2022 for one month so my twin sister and I could have a holiday at the same time as we did care for Mum.

Mum absolutely loved her time there, and made so many friends which is what she lacked with my sister and me caring for her and constant stimulation from the staff.

So after Christmas, she made the decision to move there permanently and she hasn't looked back!''

''Moving Mum who has dementia into a care home was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.

The staff at Baycroft made the transition so much easier for us and have always been there to support us every step of the way.

The staff on the dementia floor are kind and compassionate with Mum all the time and an extra thank you to two particular members of staff who are amazing with her.''

My name is Joyce Hayes, I started my hairdressing career when I was 15 years old.. which means I have been doing peoples hair for a very long time, and I hope to continue doing it for many more years to come!

I have worked in many salons throughout the years, however I find working in a care home so much more rewarding.

I have been coming to do the residents' hair at Baycroft for three years now.

I love coming here because the staff are so caring and welcoming not only to all of the visitors but the residents too.

I enjoy doing the residents hair because seeing them happy and the impact having their hair and nails done has on them, it makes everything worthwhile.

It makes such a difference for them, it’s the whole experience of coming to the Salon, having a natter and a laugh with everyone, not to mention plenty of tea, cakes and of course a sing along!

It means a lot to both of us because I did not want to think of her sitting there for days worrying about the move.
