‘’When I first came here, I was a little worried about being away from my home, but Baycroft made me feel very safe and looked after me.

I have regular family visits and they make my family welcome too.

I am very happy with the staff they are all very nice, the food is lovely.

The activities ladies are always checking in on me to make sure I have everything I need.’’

''J could not be more complimentary about Baycroft and how welcoming everyone was to him over the past couple weeks of his stay.

He said the home is by far the best he has been to. He found everyone very accommodating and felt that nothing was too much trouble.

He also mentioned that he made some lovely friends here who he will be staying in contact with.''

''When myself and my husband came to Baycroft Fairfield, we were greeted by friendly staff.

We have been well looked after and we are very happy here, our rooms were next to each other as we were both residing here.

The food is good, with plenty of options, there is plenty of activities to choose from too.

I would recommend Baycroft to my friends if they were looking for accommodation in care.''

''I have been to Baycroft Fairfield previously for respite and was all very new to me, but my stay was good.

This time round the staff are still lovely and helpful.

I have been more confident this time as I know the surroundings and staff encourage me to join in with activities.

I have enjoyed learning to crochet again, with the help of the activity’s lady Nicky and a lovely resident called Marge.

If I was going to go anywhere permanently it would be here at Baycroft Fairfield and I would happily  recommend here.''

''The home is very welcoming, friendly, and caring. We’ve had lots of ups and downs, but all issues have been sorted.

It’s been a change moving and taken getting used to but I’m enjoying it.

The carers are pretty good. I have found them to be helpful and patient. Staff are friendly and always seem happy to help.

I think the rooms are excellent they look nice and are well sized. I think the facilities here a good I like the library. I was very impressed with the cleaning staff. The cleaning here is excellent. I think the chefs do well on the whole. We can be very picky, but we have lots of options.

With the addition of being given salt and pepper in our room so we can season the food ourselves. I was surprised at the number of activities.

I have found it difficult to make it some of them. I have enjoyed living here because over the past few years me and my husband have largely been alone due to our health, covid etc so it is nice to be in a very social place with people to talk too all the time.''

I’m fond of the rooms here. They are very well furnished and have plenty of space.

I haven’t had any issues with staff and have found them to be nice enough.

The cleaners come in regularly and they do a good job when they come in.

I enjoy the activities. I haven’t taken part in too many yet but there is always something on.

There are always people around which I’ve enjoyed. I like talking with people.’’

‘’This is my second time at Baycroft for a respite stay.

The carers treat me with a lot of dignity here which I was impressed by. The staff are good they come in they will meet your needs.

There was a very friendly man who spoke with me who showed me round.

The other residents have been welcoming to me and make me feel comfortable.

The food and drink here are excellent. The kitchen is very accommodating to my needs.

My husband was in a care home for a while, and I have found plenty here which is much better than where he is.’’

‘’I have been a resident 4 weeks now.

From my experience the carers do their job well and tend to my needs.

They have treated me with dignity in my time here and they always ask for my permission when they need to follow the care plan assigned to me.

The cleaners go round and get to the areas around my room.

You get a good choice of food, and they do a good job catering to everyone. The portion sizes are good and fill me up.

In the home I’ve had my hair done and my toenails done and that was very good.

I recently did an exercise session. It is good and easy to follow. I feel safe here.’’

‘’I arrived nearly four weeks ago by Harley Street ambulance, after a long stay in hospital and then termination of life nursing home.

From day one I was welcomed, and I have gradually improved in health with exercise classes and the physiotherapy. The staff are professional, caring, friendly and this has helped me improve further.

There is a friendly mix of residents, my room is excellent. The building is clean and well proportioned. The food is excellent and having a bar has also helped!

I would recommend this home with reservation.’’

''I came to Baycroft Fairfield about a month ago and was pleasantly surprised as I hadn’t seen the home.

My son and daughter came to the showroom and thought it was lovely.

The staff are superb, and the food is excellent.

I enjoy the keep fit and spending time on my laptop, which I am free to do when I want. If one of my friends was looking for residency,

I would highly recommend this home.''

''When I first came to Baycroft Fairfield in January, I was very impressed with the décor, the staff were welcoming and smart in appearance.

The place is very clean. All the staff do everything to the best of their ability and their services are in constant demand.

But the staff always stay happy and accommodating.

My overall experience is very good and it’s the staff that make it what it is.

I have suggested that my sister comes here too.''

‘’I like my experience here. The care is great, all my needs are met, and I am treated with dignity.

The staff are very social and pleasant to talk too.

I wasn’t feeling well this morning and the staff kept coming to see me and check on me. The management here is very good I had an issue, and they gave me an extension number so I can get through.

The rooms are very nice. The facilities are good for families. My grandchildren loved the kids’ room.

The home is very clean the man that comes in to clean is very good.  The food is nice, I can always have water or tea if I want it.

Activities are good and there is plenty to do.

I feel safe here. They are always testing the fire alarm to make sure it’s good.’’

''I have been here around 10 days.

I like the rooms which are very spacious and well decorated. The rooms are regularly cleaned to a great standard. I also enjoy the change of scenery, having plenty of communal spaces upstairs where I can spend my day.

I find the care here to a great standard and a recent cold that I had was very well treated. 

The food provided is varied and my requests are always met. The meals here are “enterprising” and “elaborate” which is a big change to how I would eat while leaving alone. I give the kitchen high marks overall. My one issue is the timings not always being exact.

I feel very safe here; there are no issues with security.

The activities are good; it must be difficult to please everybody. Today, I attended a church service and it was enjoyable.

At Baycroft, if I have a complaint I know who to address it to. I haven’t had to deal with the management a lot but I am satisfied in my limited experience.

I am living at Baycroft Fairfield for a short time now, but so far I have seen an increase in my health since my arrival. I am unable to comment on the value for money as I am just on trial.''

'' We had been recommended this care home for its nursing capabilities and we were not disappointed.

Respite care for two weeks turned into a permanent residency.

The visiting doctor immediately diagnosed my mother's problem and her recovery soon came.

The staff are kindness itself.

They are attentive to her needs and there is a consistency of staff on the dementia unit which is an obvious asset.

I treat this as my second home as all the staff are so welcoming.''

''I want to say how fantastic all the staff have been in caring for my dad. There was always a so much compassion and kindness in every one of you and my dad was really happy with the care and interaction he had there. I also have had such a wonderful experience of all the staff. Everyone always had time to talk to me and visiting was a cathartic time as my life is so busy the rest of the time!

The last few days have been hard but the staff have been amazing and I just want to hug them all!

I feel Baycroft was the closest to dying at home that Dad could have had. It felt warm and comforting to have ended his life there and I am glad he didn't end up in hospital.

A big thank you to you all, you have made a difficult time so much more bearable.

Please thank Donna who stayed late last night waiting for me to come back and see Dad after he passed away. A simple gesture that I really appreciated.''

''My first impression of Baycroft was my room, which is beautifully decorated.

The staff are very nice.

I sold my large house in Australia to come back to England where I resided with my daughter.

Being here I like that I have my own space and time. I have met a few of the other residents, who are pleasant.

The staff are wonderful and treat me with kindness.

If I wanted to join in activities, there is plenty to do but I am enjoying spending time in my room.  I do enjoy a chat with the staff.''

“I have been at Baycroft Fairfield for two years now, it was a decision I made myself.

The time had come for me needing more help.

I knew I had done the right thing and was impressed with the care and kindness I received from day one.

Over the two years my health has deteriorated so I definitely made the right choice.

The food is fantastic, the only  problem is I am putting on weight!!!

The grounds are lovely and my room is very comfortable.

I love the staff they are like a second family to me.

Activities is fantastic and never pushes anyone to do anything, just encourages.

The carers are so helpful, patient and understanding.

I would recommend Fairfield to anyone.

Especially if you live on your own as I have made some lovely friends.”
